Organs

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

For more vacation assignments, my dad told me to write a report on my opinion of organs. So here it is.

My favorite organs are bones because of all but one of the skeletons’ five major functions. The first of the five is Shape and Support, and those are useful for obvious reasons, unless you want to be a blob of skin and flesh. The second function is movement, which is also useful for obvious reasons. The third major function of skeleton is protection of the internal organs. I think that I can lump my reason for liking that with the other two functions. The 4th major function is making blood, and blood is useful for many reasons like circulation. Last and least is the fifth major function, which is that bones have the ability to store certain materials until the body needs them. It’s not that I don’t like this ability, just that I don’t find it as useful as I do the others.

My least favorite organ is skin. I don’t mind how it works, just that humans spend so much time thinking of it. People are always wondering if their skin looks alright, if they have acne, and buying so many cosmetics to improve your skin.

So thats hopefully all of my vacation projects.

King Tut

Monday, August 9th, 2004

About a couple of thousand of years ago a mummy died, a mummy by the name of King Tut. He was enchanted by a magical spell so that 100,000 years later so he could emerge from the grave he was lying in and feed upon those whom lived. Ten thousand years later a boy named Ugi found the tomb of the one named King Tut and then the mummy awoke from the place he once slept and just as the story went he started feeding upon the souls of those who lived. He first tried to attack Ugi but failed and then found the entrance out of the tomb. The world was in danger and the only way to stop him would be to tickle him with a sugar glyder named Hatshepsut the Maloderous. Hatshepsut stank, that is for sure.

Mussels look like oysters but they smoother shells. They are mollusks. Mussels are very shiny on the inside when cleaned out. Mussels live in freshwater and saltwater. There are different kinds of mussels like horse mussels and zebra mussels.

A bird is a type of animal that can fly, it is warm blooded, lays eggs and has feathers. Birds are born from hard-shelled eggs. Some bird names are Parrots, Wrens, Herons and Sparrows. All birdes have feathers in fact, birdes are the only animal that have fethers. Its head is larger than its body. Its eyes are shut. All the food it needs is inside the egg. When the bird is big enough the egg starts to crack. A new born bird comes out and a new life begins.

T Rex

Wednesday, November 5th, 2003

Tynnosraurus rex was one of the biggest meat eaters to ever walk on land. He was six meters tal,l as high as three people and weighed seven tons, about the weigh of two elephants.
Tyrannosaurus hunted alone kiling other dinosaurs and eating their flesh. He could run 25 kilometres an hour. He was very dangerous and he could hold a whole dinoaur in his huge mouth with his super sharp teeth. His powerful legs helped him to run after his food. His large claws could hold down a struggling dinosaur, but his armes were weak and too short to even reach his own mouth. We are lucky folks he is not alive today.
