Kalypso The Odyssey

A couple of days ago I went to a Mid-City neighborhood planning meeting and Mayor Ray Nagin came. But instead of listening to the meeting I spent most of my time watching my brother in another room. At the end of the meeting I went outside and had my picture taken with the mayor. He got in trouble from some groups a while ago from his speech where he said that New Orleans would be, at the end of the day, a “Chocolate City.” But then he said that he meant that you would take black chocolate and white milk and mix it together to make a delicious drink. I don’t think that is what he meant originally, but his later explanation suits me fine. I’m a big fan of chocolate milk, and I like living in racially diverse city like New Orleans.
